Getting To & Around Tampa

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is the premier gateway to the West Coast of Florida and is only approximately 7 miles away from the conference hotels. The airport serves approximately 17 million passengers per year with 77 domestic and international destinations. Travel and Leisure Magazine recently ranked Tampa International Airport second among all U.S. airports, based on access, check-in/security, restaurants/bars, shopping, and design.

A variety of ground transportation options makes it easy to access surrounding areas from Tampa International Airport.

Taxi service by Yellow Cab and United Cab is available at the curbside outside the Baggage Claim Level. Both companies charge the same fares: $2.50, plus $2.40 per mile. Rental Cars
Access to on-airport rental car providers is available by taking the SkyConnect train from the Main Terminal.

Courtesy vehicle service to off-airport rental car companies is available at either end of the Red and Blue Baggage Claim. Drop-off and pick-up at the Commercial Curb in front of the Rental Car Center with transportation to/from the Main Terminal by the SkyConnect.

Shared Passenger Van Service
Airport limos and shared passenger van service is available through advance reservation or walk-up booking.

Get on FL-60 E from George J Bean Outbound Pkwy/George J Bean Pkwy

Take I-275 N to N Tampa St. Take exit 44 from I-275 N

Follow N Tampa St to S Franklin St

Getting from one destination to the next is easy in Tampa’s downtown, thanks to the many free and affordable transportation options.

Downtowner: The Downtowner is a free on-demand ridesharing service operating in Tampa’s Downtown. To request a free ride, visitors need to download the Downtowner App to their smartphone and input the pickup/drop off location.

TECO Streetcar: The Streetcar offers a free, fun and characteristic way to travel between Tampa’s Downtown, Sparkman Wharf, and Ybor City. From the Convention Center you can get aboard the streetcar at stop #10 which is located across from the Tampa Convention Center front drive and The Sail.

Coast Bikes: Coast Bikes offers a convenient and fun way for visitors to explore Tampa’s Downtown. Visitors can take advantage of hourly pay as you go rates and pickup/drop off a bike at one of the many locations set up across the downtown district. Near the Tampa Convention Center, Coast Bikes can be rented just outside the Franklin Street entrance or near the Tampa Riverwalk.
