Awards to be presented at ASC 2020
A number of awards and prizes will be presented to outstanding engineers, scientists, and managers who have made significant contributions to the success of the field of applied superconductivity.
The following IEEE Awards will be presented on Friday, October 30, from 7:45 a.m. – 8:15 a.m., EDT
- The IEEE Awards for Continuing and Significant Contributions in the Field of Applied Superconductivity:
- The IEEE Max Swerdlow Award for Sustained Service to the Applied Superconductivity Community
- The IEEE Council on Superconductivity Carl H. Rosner Entrepreneurship Award
- The IEEE Council on Superconductivity Van Duzer Prize (Best Paper)
- IEEE Council on Superconductivity Graduate Study Fellowship in Applied Superconductivity
During the virtual conference, the following other awards will also be announced:
- Applied Superconductivity Conference Best Student Paper Contest
- Award presentation date & time to be determined
- Cryogenic Society of America Roger W. Boom Award
- Award will be presented on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, from 4:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., EST
- Jan Evetts SUST Award – Submission Deadline: August 31, 2020
- Award will be presented on Monday, November 2, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m., EST
